Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Every ninety (90) days the vendorshall come on-site to one (1) or more specified locations to inspect, clean, maintain and calibrate the instrumentation outlined below. The monitors shall be serviced in preparation for the next service cycle. • Vendor shall perform repairs for damage or failure occurring during normal usage of equipment. All associated costs, parts and labor with these repairs shall be the responsibility of vendor, except where otherwise noted. Any instrumentation that can be repaired on site shall be taken for repair. It is the responsibility of the vendor to promptly repair the instrument and promptly return it to Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office (HCFMO) at the vendor’s expense. Loaner equipment must be provided is the instrument cannot be returned in five (5) business days. • Vendor shall be responsible for all sensor replacement, should a sensor fail to calibrate, including exotic sensors (ie. HCN or any sensor that doesn’t have a two (2) year warranty) except where otherwise noted. • Instruments marked verification-only, Section 1, shall be maintained to their manufacturer’s specifications, usually a yearly calibration or optimization. These instruments shall also receive an operational test during the normal service cycle. Any repairs on verification-only equipment more than $700 shall be the responsibility of HARRIS COUNTY HAZMAT and shall be invoiced separately. • All radiation equipment that requires calibration shall be sent to a 3rd party, approved radiation lab for annual calibration and adjustment, at the expense of vendor. All equipment shall be verified for proper working order during quarterly maintenance schedule. Any repairs on radiation equipment more than $500 shall be the responsibility of HARRIS COUNTY HAZMAT and shall be invoiced separately. • All chemical and biological equipment (Smiths Detection) shall be verified to proper working order during scheduled maintenance visits. Any repairs on chemical and biological equipment more than $500, shall be the responsibility of HARRIS COUNTY HAZMAT and shall be invoiced separately. • Due to cost and technology involved, vendor shall not be responsible for the repair or maintenance of weather-related modules or attachments bundled with gas detection, radiation, chemical and biological, or any other equipment. This includes but is not limited to RAE Met Sensors. Any repairs on weather stations, sensors, modules, or other weather sensing/reporting equipment shall be the responsibility of HARRIS COUNTY HAZMAT and shall be invoiced separately.
