• Provide support to school leaders and central office staff to plan for the implementation of research-based practices to build on the existing program and supports for Multilingual Learners at Passaic High School. • Support the design of a program that endorses the development of students’ home language and linguistic repertoire to access grade level academic content. • Offer a program that addresses the social emotional, linguistic and academic needs of High School MLs. • Provide consulting and technical support throughout the process of program development and implementation of a Bilingual Academy for High School MLs. • Provide professional development, training, coaching, mentoring to teachers, principals, and staff of the Division of Bilingual/ESL Education to build capacity and create a viable instructional program for MLs. • Provide professional development and training to teachers to teach language through their content, and address the socio-emotional needs of their MLs. • Plan and coordinate schedules, teacher team meetings, social emotional support planning, formative and summative assessments. • Provide support and guidance to build on the existing district curriculum aligned to grade level standards, and integrating language development into the content areas. • Participate in walkthroughs to monitor and assess program implementation, instructional practices, and student growth and achievement. o Provide feedback to improve teaching practices and student learning.
