Specifications include, but are not limited to: Harford County has a requirement for a firm (or contract laboratory); hereafter referred to as the contractor to provide laboratory analyses of drinking water, wastewater, and sludge samples at various locations in the County. All methods of analysis performed under this contract must be approved by United States EPA and/or by the Maryland Department of the Environment for the matrix of samples to be analyzed. A. Wastewater analyses must be in accordance with the Maryland Department of the Environment’s MDE Toxic Pollutants Protocol and Reporting Requirements for Toxic Chemical Testing and Analytical Data (rev. 8/2022) specifically including the detection limits and/or human health criteria. B. Drinking Water Analyses will be performed in accordance with Maryland Department of the Environment directives, utilizing required test methods that will meet the required method detection limits.
