Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The contractor will be required for: a. Verifying slab elevations and sizing steel post beam lengths to meet plan specifications. b. The demolition of concrete slab at post beam locations for anchor footings to anchor weld plates or anchor bolts for steel post beams. 4,000 psi high strength concrete will be required for pouring anchor footings. c. Providing color samples of metal siding, metal roof, doors, windows, trim, awnings, and gutters before ordering materials. d. Maintain a clean construction site free of trash and debris, stray screws shall be picked up daily. e. All waste material, debris, and trash will be removed from the construction site regularly and be at the contractor’s expense. f. Delivery, storage, and handling of all building material. g. Use Red Oxide Primer to touch up coatings as directed. h. Providing a 5 year workmanship guarantee. 2. Shop drawings for building plan and layout, bolted and/or welded connections, anchor details, fastener detail, doors, windows, and awnings will be submitted to the Department for approval prior to fabrication. 3. All structural steel, purling, and girts will be coated with red-oxide primer and manufactured in the U.S.A. 4. All steel components will be coated and sized to industry standards. 5. All girts will be flush with steel post beams. 6. Temporary power will be provided by the Department for construction. 7. Building insulation will be 4” PPSA roll insulation. 8. Sledge door hardware will be required to match existing facilities. 9. Material Schedule and Specifications are listed on sheet 3 of the plans. 10. Contractor will notify the Project Engineer 7 days prior to begin work.
