There are multiple services needed that fall under different Programs, as described below. Proposers may apply to provide services under one or more of the Programs. Program 1: “Family Education Program” SLOBHD is seeking proposals to develop supportive services within the public mental health system which assist individuals in establishing wellness and maintaining recovery in the community with the greatest level of independence possible. Program 2: “Social Marketing” SLOBHD is seeking proposals to provide interpersonal outreach and information dissemination regarding mental health awareness, education and stigma reduction for underserved and at-risk populations including, when appropriate, one-to-one personal contact, referrals, and support resources throughout the county. Program 3: “Peer Advisory and Advocacy” (PAAT) SLOBHD is seeking proposals to develop and maintain a peer-run consumer advisory council of mental health stakeholders, providing system advocacy training to members and attendees so that they can significantly participate in behavioral health system planning processes. Program 4: “Wellness Centers” SLOBHD is seeking proposals to provide multiple physical facilities throughout the County to provide person-centered, trauma informed, recovery-based services for individuals with mental illness who would otherwise remain withdrawn or isolated Program 5: Forensic Re-Entry Service SLOBHD is seeking proposals to provide outreach and linkage to behavioral health services for jailed adult offenders being released from custody who suffer from mental illness and cooccurring substance use disorders.
