Specifications include, but are not limited to: Program Design – Workforce development planning aligns with the 10 Essential Public Health Services framework to “build a diverse and skilled workforce,” the Foundational Public Health Service framework’s organizational competencies, as well as Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB’s) Standards & Measures for Pathways, Initial Accreditation, and Reaccreditation within Domain 8. Utilizing Tools-to-SupportEffective-Workforce-Development-Planning.pdf (phaboard.org) Project Objectives – Assess the current public health workforce and establish a workforce development plan in accordance with the provided tool. Individuals Served – Mariposa County Health & Human Services Public Health Branch. Services Location – Will vary upon arrangement. Hours of Operations - Meetings and coordination during normal county operating hours, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Minimum Service Requirements – Assess, plan and coordinate the public health workforce development recommendations with public health leadership. Program Staffing – Provide the appropriate level of staff with experience in conducting this type of work. Data Gathering, Outcomes, Reports – Review of current workforce needs and areas of development and sustainability for core functions of public health. Cultural Competence Compliance – Ensure an equity lens in the development of recommendations. Budget – The budget shall be in line with fiscally responsible principles.
