The databases make available to the students over 60M content items with new content added to these databases on a daily basis resulting in upwards of 50k new items added monthly. Informed through its partnerships with various State Department of Corrections to guard against harmful, dangerous, or otherwise inappropriate content from being accessed by students, EBSCO developed a proprietary content request/approval workflow for students to access PDF full text of the above listed database sources. This feature is a core and necessary component of any Correctional Ed solution. Informed through its partnerships with various State Department of Corrections to give Corrections stakeholders the ability to monitor and review students’ activity, EBSCO has developed a proprietary set of usage metrics giving stakeholders the ability to see when students log in, when they log out, what they are searching for, and which content items they are requesting full access to. Informed through its partnerships with various State Department of Corrections to give Corrections stakeholders the ability to further guard against harmful, dangerous, or otherwise inappropriate content from being accessed by students, EBSCO has developed an optional stop word list that can be used to help limit what content students can see as the result of their searching efforts.
