Specifications include, but are not limited to: NDOW is seeking a qualified vendor to provide plans, materials, and labor to build an ADA accessible bridge on the main trail at Oxbow Nature Study Area. Vendor will purchase bridge engineering plans from a previously completed project. Using these plans, the vendor will purchase the materials needed to construct the bridge, including building materials, NDEP permits, and labor. The vendor will first excavate the existing trail area and test runoff channel. Once old culvert has been removed and unclogged, the vendor will then install footing and structure for the bridge. The vendor will then construct the bridge at a 2% grade to account for ADA regulations. 1. Objectives: To create a small trail bridge that covers flooded area of the trail, providing safe ADA access into the park. The bridge will need to be built over an existing portion of trail and old culvert will need to be excavated. 2. Location and Description: The vendor will be tasked with building this bridge on the main trail at Oxbow Nature Study Area in downtown Reno. The park rests in between the Truckee River and a wetland pond, home to several different species of wildlife. The park gates are locked in the evening, but there is no on-site storage for equipment, however, the parking lot is locked at night. 3. Contractor furnished property and services: The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform all work as set forth in the specification. Also, must be able to obtain all permits necessary for the project, including NDEP, ADA, and Construction Stormwater.
