Specifications include, but are not limited to: Services will include: 1. Availability to provide information, training, certification, and support to individuals functioning as culturally specific peer support specialists, and those wanting to become peer support specialists with a culturally specific focus. 2. Coordination and training with culturally specific mental health and community agencies on how to best utilize and integrate peer support specialists into their programs. 3. Provide support and training to culturally specific peer support specialists on the various requirements for working in public and contracted behavioral health agencies, including HIPPA, boundaries with clients, and appropriate means for problem solving when there is disagreement, and other areas where such training will support the increase appropriate use of peer support specialists in the behavioral health delivery system in Washington County. 4. Recruitment and encouragement of potential peer support specialists who have evidenced recovery in their own behavioral health challenges. 5. In instances where the program is also a provider of a peer service, to ensure appropriate supervision and development of peer support specialists working in those programs. 6. Identification of areas where peer service coordination may be helpful, that have not been identified specifically in this NOFO.
