Specifications include, but are not limited to: All new work shall be identical to existing, including finished edge, width, thickness, finish, etc. Remove existing concrete in areas where directed, identified and marked by the County. Remove all debris and old concrete off site and properly dispose of all materials. Provide and install forms for concrete. Forms shall be secured, properly staked to hold the concrete and straight where a straight edge is required or a uniform radius where called for to match a specific layout by the County. Place and finish 6 bag mix concrete, air entrained and batched for this type of installation. Include fiber mesh mixed into the concrete unless otherwise specified by the County to install welded wire mesh reinforcing. Limit the amount of water added to the batch at the site to maintain concrete strength and only enough water to place and form the concrete. Keep distance from the batch plant to the job site as limited as possible. Finish the concrete to match existing. Install ½” or 3/8” steel dowel pins (6” concrete or 4” concrete thickness) between existing concrete and new concrete to hold together and prevent lifting of slabs at the new and old joint lines in any vehicle drive areas. Project includes collars around parking lot storm water catch basin structures Seal new concrete with cure and seal commercial product sealant for concrete Remove forms, clean up site and remove all debris Prevent concrete from spilling over onto adjoining surfaces. Clean to satisfaction of County if this occurs. Protect concrete from pedestrian traffic with barricades until hardened to prevent impressions or scuffing and for 7 days from vehicles where needed and traffic crosses concrete Provide pricing based on the above general work requirements at each site where included on the Proposal Form.
