Specifications include, but are not limited to: Demolition and Site Preparation - 1. Remove existing chain-link fence mesh from the perimeter of the tennis courts. Contractor shall preserve and protect the fence mesh for reinstallation. 2. Remove perimeter fence terminal and/or line posts and associated footings identified on Attachment I - Project Site Map, approximately twenty (20). Contractor shall preserve and protect the fence post, top rails, and all other associated hardware for reinstallation. 3. Contractor to cut out asphalt and remove tree roots in areas noted on Attachment I - Project Site Map. 4. Remove tennis court posts, center strap tiedowns, and associated concrete footings. 5. Furnish and install fence post footings to reinstall fence posts. Reinstall all other associated chain-link fence components (top rail, chain-link mesh, hardware, etc). a. Adjust two (2) tennis court entrance posts to enlarge openings to (forty) 40 inches and as coordinated with Owner. 6. Provide and install two (2) sets of tennis court net posts, center straps, and nets per manufacturer specifications. a. Edwards square post set's #DC2013 b. Edwards 30ls tennis nets #AL1013 c. Classic net strap #CP1003 ; Hot Mix Asphalt Paving Repair and Overlay - 1. Grind down/smooth out sharp edges in court surface. 2. Existing cracks must be filled with a material flush or slightly below the level of the existing pavement surface. Court cracks between 1/8”-3/8” should be filled with a liquid crack sealant. Cracks wider than 3/8” should be filled with a more stable crack filler. There is approximately 940 linear feet of existing cracks. 3. Install paving fabric system (Petromat or approved equal) per manufacturer specifications. 4. Apply asphalt tack coat per manufacturer specifications. Do not apply tack coat when temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit or when base is wet. 5. Provide and place hot mix asphalt for tennis courts in accordance with the American Sports Builder’s Association Tennis Court Construction Guidelines for Hot Mix Asphalt Tennis Courts.
