APS is seeking qualified agencies and/or organizations to provide one or more of the following: ● In-person professional development for teachers and administrators focused on best practices for Multilingual learners and innovative new school development ● Facilitated school visits with successful High School programs that utilize best practices with Multilingual Learners including collaborative school models, project-based learning with Multilingual Learners, and content-language integration ● Ongoing consultation support for staff, teachers, and administrators in the planning and implementation of innovative high school models for Multilingual Learners ● Consultation and support in the planning and implementation of an International Welcome Center geared towards providing support to Multilingual learners and their families The awarded vendor(s) will collaborate with the Refugee and Newcomer Supports Program under the leadership of Associate Superintendent for Leadership, Learning and Equity on developing, implementing and evaluating training and professional development services that serve APS staff, students, parents and community constituents, including consultation services. Training and consultation module examples can include but are not limited to the following: ● Face to face ● Online (via online communication platforms such as Zoom or Google Meets) ● Using video/media platforms to conduct live or pre-tapped videos, films, and other media activities ● Facilitated School Visits ● Facilitated visits to International Welcome Centers ● Focus groups ● Book studies
