The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office requires the services of a Mental Health Professional to provide Juvenile Victim Traumatic Counseling Services. Mental Health Professional Requirements 1. Must have a Master’s degree or above and be licensed, certified or supervised by a licensed mental health professional. 2. Proof of License must accompany the response. 3. Must have completed 40 contact hour CEUs in accordance with the provider’s mental health related license requirements, CEUs from specific evidence-based treatment for trauma training, and clinical supervision hours by a licensed clinical supervisor, must complete 8 hours of child abuse specific training every 2 years, must participate in ongoing clinical supervision/consultation and complete a written MOU with the Child Advocacy Center. 4. A curriculum vitae must be submitted with the proposal outlining the mental health professional’s educational and professional training, licenses, and board certifications, published papers/books, and a detailed description of the required practical experience. 5. Corporation or locum tenens agency shall identify the specific mental health professionals that meet the requirements and who will work with this Office and shall forward the required documents for these specific mental health professionals with their proposal. 6. The number of hours per year the Mental Health Professional will be retained under this contract varies year to year from a high in some years of approximately 76 sessions to a low of zero (0) in some years where no mental health professionals were needed. 7. The grant that funds this service caps the hourly rate at $120.00 per hour. 8. There is no radius, distance or proximity to Somerset County to where the mental health professional may reside. 9. The mental health professional must be available on an emergency basis in a situation requiring immediate counseling. In situations not needing immediate counseling, the ability to meet with a child victim within one week on a request. 10. There will be no penalty for not accepting a contract when contacted by this office if terms, such as time schedules cannot be met. 11. This will be a “multiple award contract.” 12. Must not have any criminal convictions wherein the potential penalty is greater than six months in jail. *If respondents have not done business with County of Somerset, attached BACKGROUND check forms must be completed.
