Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. An awarded contractor for this category of work shall be responsible for mapping the existing smoke heads, duct detectors and pull stations for each building. b. Once the mapping is complete ensure that mapping is configured in panels so that they are correctly aligned to its physical location. c. The awarded contractor shall ensure that instant notifications are sent to a central station. d. Provide the district with two (2) complete, detailed copies of such mapping. e. Provide the district with mapping in an electronic format. f. Shall be called upon to update the mapping when and if it becomes necessary. Inspections, Testing & Cleaning - The Contractor shall troubleshoot and perform both visual and functional tests and inspections of the systems, including cleaning of all detector heads. Inspection of the systems must be completed on or about August 15. It is required that the Contractor contact the Director of Security and/or Facilities to make appointments for each location. The testing is to include the Fire and Burglar Alarm main controls and remote auxiliary equipment for proper operation as per existing programs. The detectors will be tested in a controlled fixed sensitivity tester and the sensitivity will be recorded. If a detector fails the test, the District will have the option to replace it. The Contractor must submit a written report that the testing has been completed and that the systems are operational. This report shall contain a complete list of each device and performance levels at each building. All testing and maintenance must adhere to N.Y.S. code RS-55.
