Contractor shall provide the City of Phoenix Water Services Department with Cathodic Protection Testing/Inspection Services, as well as other miscellaneous Testing/Inspection Services. Potential readings shall be taken at the following locations: A. Cathodically protected surfaces farthest from the anodes, but not less than two (2) per structure. B. Cathodically protected surfaces nearest the anodes. but not less than two (2) per structure. C. Cathodically protected surfaces other than those discussed in a and b above that are deemed necessary by the field technician or project supervisor. Enough readings should be taken to ensure that the recorded readings are representative of the entire structure. D. For automatically controlled systems, permanent reference cells shall be compared to the portable half-cell to evaluate the stability of the control cell. This test shall be made without current applied and with cell tips within 1/4 inch of each other. Visual inspection shall include the following: A. Inspect condition of anode and reference cell access ports and anode and reference cell lead wires B. Visual inspection of anodes.
