Specifications include, but are not limited to: Quarterly Checklist for Sprinkler System A. Examine each piece of equipment and device to see that it is functioning properly and is in good operational condition. B. Clean all components of dust, old lubricants, etc. to allow the equipment to function as designed. C. The Contractor shall semi-annually replace all fire sprinkler system and fire pump gauges, with the date of installation affixed to each gauge (contractor provided gauges). Testing and maintenance frequencies and methods for all fire sprinkler wet pipe and dry pipe system components shall comply with all guidelines as set forth in NFPA 25, and other codes as applicable. D. All fire protection system components shall always be maintained in an operative condition and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. All work shall be in accordance with recognized standards listed in NFPA 13A where applicable to the components of the system(s). E. The Contractor will respond to any discrepancies covered by this contract noted during the annual inspection performed by the Indianapolis and State Fire Marshal’s Offices on Fire Protection Systems.
