Replacement of the existing induced draft aerator with a new, higher capacity induced draft aerator constructed on a separate structural concrete foundation, associated plant piping modifications and additions including the inlet and outlet piping arrangements; and upgrading the chemical systems including replacement of the chlorine gas feeding equipment, modifications and additions to the chlorination system piping to provide operational redundancy and a metered system to feed caustic soda to replace the existing system of feeding hydrated lime with a volumetric feeder; and miscellaneous items of improvements include minor electrical work and water meters (for aerator inlet piping and service pump outlet piping) for monitoring and inventory control.
