Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Fairmont is seeking proposals to replace portions of sidewalk, construct 3 ADA curb ramps, and replace a section of retaining wall near Spring Street in Fairmont, Marion County, West Virginia. Plan, engineer, and construct the following to meet WV DOH and ADA standards: 1. Removal and disposal of existing sidewalk from the intersection of Spring Street and Pennsylvania Ave along the north side of Spring Street approximately 162’ long and 4’ wide, ending on the eastern side of the intersection of Spring and Hamilton Street 2. New concrete sidewalk to run from the intersection of Spring Street and Pennsylvania Ave along the north side of Spring Street approximately 162’ ending on the eastern side of the intersection of Spring and Hamilton Street a. Minimum sidewalk width of 5 feet, width may be reduced to a minimum of 4 feet if widening the sidewalk would result in the edge-of-asphalt to edge-of-asphalt width of the street to be less than 18 feet b. Curb height must be at minimum 6 inches from top of asphalt c. Cross-slope may not exceed 2% d. All other WV DOH and ADA Design Standards must be met 3. 115’ of railing to meet adopted Building Code, Public Works, and WVDOH standards, located on the north side of the new Spring Street sidewalk from the intersection of Spring and Hamilton Street towards Pennsylvania Ave 4. Curb ramps at both ends of the Spring Street sidewalk, Type IIIA at the end of the sidewalk and Type IA or V at the intersection of Spring and Pennsylvania unless alternatives are approved by the City of Fairmont and WVDOH 5. Removal and disposal of approximately 5’ of existing sidewalk on the south side of the Spring and Pennsylvania Ave intersection
