Specifications include, but are not limited to: Grounds must be prepared for mowing by removing all paper, bottles, debris, tires and any other item or materials on the property. This must be done before cutting. The contractor will be responsible for the proper disposal of materials collected in preparing areas to be cut in accordance with Local, State and Federal regulations. At no time can bagged trash and debris be left at the curb or deposited at another location in the neighborhood. Trash and debris that can fit into the bed of a pickup truck or a trailer the size of a pickup truck can be disposed of at the City Landfill at no charge. Dump trailers will not be accepted. All tires removed from properties must be disposed of in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances and may also be disposed of at the City Landfill. Each property shall be left in a neat and clean state after each cut. Nuisance Abatement work performed shall require a photograph of the area where the work is to be performed BEFORE the work begins and a second photograph AFTER the work is completed. The BEFORE photo must be taken by Contractor that clearly shows a section of grass with the measurement at 12” high. The picture must be clear and unquestionably be able to see the measurement of grass at 12”. Contractor must submit a picture of the work AFTER completion showing the height of the grass between 2” and 4” high, it shall not exceed 4” nor be less than 2”. Pictures submitted must be clear, precise photos and include identifying features of the property for verification. Submission for payment must include the signed work order, the BEFORE photograph and the AFTER photograph. The pictures shall be submitted through the City of Gadsden supplied website for every lot cut before payment will be approved. There will be no exceptions. The contractor shall be responsible for inspecting the approved lots on a routine basis to ensure they are maintained as soon as the grass reaches a height of 12”. Contractor shall take special care to direct clippings away from adjacent lots, parked vehicles, sidewalks, roadway, gutters, drainage inlets, houses, outbuildings or any other structures, shrubs, flower and tree beds and any other items. Clippings cannot be allowed to get into HVAC units. Grass clippings MUST be blown from the street and sidewalk prior to leaving. The contractor will be held responsible for any damage claim that is turned in as a result of the service being provided. Contractor will be required to cut a minimum of twenty-five (25) lots per week. Hours of work shall be dawn to dusk.
