Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor must submit an invoice for payment. Contractor is allowed to submit one invoice every two weeks for each lot cut during the preceding two-week period. Invoices must be submitted to the Building Department for review by Friday at 4:00 p.m. to be eligible for payment the following Friday. All checks will be delivered by United States Postal Service to the remittance address on file for the Contractor. The City of Gadsden will supply each contractor a website link that must be used to track work completed on each lot. Contractor shall be responsible for providing complete, accurate information for each approved lot to insure prompt payment is made for all work completed. The Building Department will submit the addresses of the approved lots for cutting to the contractor. The Building Department will provide the approved square footage for each lot that will be used to calculate the payments due. The approved square footage for each lot will be based on the total lot size shown on the Etowah County tax maps, minus any structures recorded on the property. Grounds must be prepared for mowing by removing all paper, bottles, debris, tires and any other item or materials on the property. This must be done before cutting. The contractor will be responsible for the proper disposal of materials collected in preparing areas to be cut in accordance with Local, State and Federal regulations. At no time can bagged trash and debris be left at the curb or deposited at another location in the neighborhood. Trash and debris that can fit into the bed of a pickup truck or a trailer the size of a pickup truck can be disposed of at the City Landfill at no charge. Dump trailers will not be accepted. All tires removed from properties must be disposed of in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances and may also be disposed of at the City Landfill. Each property shall be left in a neat and clean state after each cut.
