Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall perform the following tasks: a) Review project documentation, including relevant tank specifications, drawings, and previous inspection reports. b) Conduct visual inspections of the exterior and interior of each water tank, including roof, walls, foundation, access hatches, ladder systems, and appurtenances. c) Perform hands-on inspections, which may involve non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as ultrasonic thickness testing and magnetic particle inspection. d) Assess the condition of tank coatings and linings to identify any signs of degradation or failure. e) Evaluate compliance with AWWA D101-53 standards for tank design, materials, and construction. f) Check for potential sources of contamination, such as sediment buildup, microbial growth, and foreign objects. g) Inspect safety features, such as guardrails, safety climb systems, and access points, to ensure they meet industry standards. h) Disinfect the tank after completing interior inspections in conformance with AWWA C652 and provide 2 bacteriological sampling results to demonstrate disinfection. i) Compile a detailed report for each tank, summarizing findings, documenting defects, and providing recommendations for corrective actions. The Contractor shall provide the following deliverables based on assigned work orders from the Drinking Water Bureau: d) Comprehensive inspection reports for each water tank, including detailed descriptions of findings, photographs, and annotated diagrams in digital format. e) A prioritized list of recommended maintenance, repairs, and improvements, along with estimated costs and timelines in digital format. f) Clear documentation of areas where the tanks are not in compliance with AWWA D101-53 standards in digital format. g) Any test results obtained from non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques in digital format.
