The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and supervision required to determine the operational status of each device of the existing Sprinkler System(s). Inspection & Testing service procedures provided by contractor shall conform to NFPA standards as adopted by 675 of the Indiana Administrative Code. 1. Optimum operating condition is defined as that level of performance which provides maximum safety to the occupants, meets applicable laws, codes, regulations, meets or exceeds the equipment manufacturers’ specifications and maximizes equipment life expectancy. 2. This includes necessary equipment such as ladders and lifts to access the various components to be inspected and tested. 3. The sprinkler system is considered to include but not limited to the following items fire department connections, valves, sensors, switches, stand pipes, backflow preventers, etc. 4. Contractor to check spare heads and provide owner a list in the report of the necessary quantities and types that are needed to meet required code for spare parts. Owner will be responsible for obtaining spare heads. E. All work shall be performed in the presence of an Agency Representative who shall sign the documentation, provided by the Contractor, that the work is complete. The signature of the foreman of the crew performing the work shall appear on site prepared documents. F. A report shall be furnished to the Agency Representative after each examination or emergency service indicating the scope of work performed, a list of items tested and there pass/fail condition, conditions requiring further attention and the name of 635-25-22931 SS Page 2 of 7 the Agency Representative present. Failure to provide report may result in lack of payment by owner.
