Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall be responsible for the medical administration and professional supervision of resident care at the Facility, consistent with the Facility’s Resident Care Policies and procedures, standards and criteria prescribed by the State, the applicable standard of care for the Contractor within the medical profession, and all applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. The Contractor’s responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following ongoing duties: (1) Maintaining a satisfactory level of knowledge of Current Professional Standards of Practice in caring for long-term care residents and how to coordinate and oversee other practitioners. (2) Participating in administrative decision making, including: i. Meeting regularly with the Administrators and Directors of Nursing and provide leadership and achieve Medical Care goals. ii. Participating in the development, implementation, and periodic evaluation of policies and procedures and reviewing the policies and procedures manual annually. iii. Participating in the activities of quality assurance. iv. Participating in surveys and interacting with outside regulatory agencies.
