Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 The City of Shreveport (City) owns, operates, and maintains a water distribution system that includes over 1,100 miles of water distribution and transmission system piping. 1.2 The City of Shreveport (City) is seeking a contractor to provide GPS survey, condition assessment and investigation of system valve and hydrants and minor repair services to support an initiative to improve the City’s GIS and Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to provide accurate reflection of the City’s water distribution and transmission System. 1.3 An initial project area has been selected as a Phase-1 pilot with the possibility that other parts of the City could be completed through this contract at a later time. 1.4 Phase-1 project limits are illustrated in Appendix E including the approximate locations of the existing water distribution system based on the City’s current GIS. 2.0 The Scope of Work for the contractor to perform will generally include: 2.1 Preparation of a Project Work Plan 2.2 Valve Program – Shall include: 2.3 Valve Location and GPS 2.3.1.1 Valve Stand Clean Out (Wash/Vac) 2.3.1.2 Valve Exercise 2.3.1.3 Valve Box Adjustments and Parts 2.3.1.4 Isolation Testing 2.4 Repair and Replacement (by others)
