Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 See the name and addresses of the pick-up locations on Attachment A. 2.2 Regular pick-ups shall be made between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. 2.3 The Contractor will be provided a key for the kiosks. Contractor must be able to hold the key, perform job duties and lock up the kiosks without supervision or assistance from the County employees other than the required signature for the shipping papers. 2.4 The Contractor will visit the kiosk, open it and remove the plastic container containing the used sharps and dispose of contents properly. 2.5 Contractor will put a new empty container in the kiosk to assure sharps will be deposited into the container safely. 2.6 Contractor will be responsible for picking up any loose items inside the sharps disposal kiosk wearing approved protective equipment while adhering to universal precautions established for the proper disposal of sharps. 2.7 Contractor will be responsible for reporting estimated quantity of syringes collected per container per pick up. 2.8 Contractor will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the interior and exterior opening of the sharps disposal kiosk. 2.9 The Contractor will then lock the kiosk and check to ensure the door is properly secured. 2.10 Contractor will prepare the manifest to include the date of pick up in accordance with US Department of Transportation and Maryland Department of the Environment. Once the manifest is completed, it will be presented to the designated County staff for signature. 2.11 Contractor will transport the containerized waste for processing by a Fully-compliant US Department of Transportation (DOT) method of disposal.
