Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project is to renovate a portion of the Student Wellness Center on the Health Sciences campus to create a new student welcome center. The welcome center will consist of a meeting room for group presentations and information sessions, a reception/waiting area, offices for admissions staff, small meeting rooms to meet privately with families, office work area, back of the house student ambassadors' area, and storage. The Caughman Student Welcome Center will be branded and serve as the starting point for Augusta University campus tours. This welcome center will be the first impression of AU for prospective students and families. Currently, each of Augusta University’s 4 campuses has its own feel and identity. The Summerville campus presents as a small liberal arts college, Health Sciences campus as a modern medical and research university, Riverfront campus has urban modern design and cutting-edge technology, and Forrest Hills represents AU Athletics. This welcome center will bring all these different identities together to present Augusta University as cohesive and comprehensive university.
