Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Contractor agrees to provide services to juveniles between the ages of 12-17, who are considered atrisk youth or under probation supervision for nonviolent offenses. 2. Contractors shall have a minimum of fifteen (15) youth ages 12-17 attending their TASC. 3. Contractor agrees to provide programmatic services encouraging teamwork and that builds selfconfidence and self-esteem. 4. Contractor must conduct structured workshops with the overall goal of the participant advancing both academically and vocationally upon completion of the required program timeframe. 5. Contractor must establish a summer enrichment program for TASC youth for three (3) weeks during summer. The enrichment program should include a summer reading and math program combined with various recreational opportunities for youth participation. 6. Contractor will employ only staff/volunteers who have been screened by SCDJJ and approved by the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and the South Carolina Department of Social Services (SC DSS). Contractor must submit the SCDJJ volunteer application a minimum of 2 weeks prior to volunteer participation. 7. Contractor will provide a building and specific room(s) for youth to participate in TASC activities. A minimum requirement of 1 room is required that will accommodate at least fifteen (15) youth and ensure 2 adults are present in the room at all times. This room will be used for academic classroom instruction. The Center shall have access to an indoor area for recreation. 8. Contractor shall provide supplies that youth can use to assist them in their academic enrichment. 9. Contractors shall provide a kitchen or access to a kitchen to prepare healthy snacks for the youth attending the Center. 10. Contractors shall provide equipment and space for recreation. Each Center shall have a recreation area and equipment for youth. Recreation could include board and video games, basketball, volleyball, baseball/softball, soccer, billiards, ping-pong, and other forms of recreation. 11. Contractors shall provide the Program Manager of SCDJJ with written quarterly reports regarding financial and programmatic outcomes. Based on SCDJJ’s assessment of performance, payments shall be made on a quarterly basis.
