Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work/services to be provided under this contract include removal of ten (10) existing beam detectors (locations provided in Exhibit A). Furnish & Install ten (10) new beam detectors in the same location to be surface mounted as the existing detectors. All detectors are to be tied in to the existing fire alarm panel and operating. These fire alarm beam smoke detectors have been damaged by Hurricane Ida (or remediation process) and are monitored and powered by the Pontchartrain Center’s Simplex 4000 Series fire alarm panel which provides open area smoke detection in the Meeting Halls. Equipment shall be tested for proper operation and tagged. This is to be a “turnkey” project meaning that Contractor must possess all labor, materials, equipment/tools, and insurances necessary to complete all work proposed. This is to include and painting and patching and fire caulking of walls or surfaces where old detectors have been removed and/or replaced. The City of Kenner shall provide/make available for use the following: man-lift, access to the work area including removal of any temporary plastic sheeting to facilitate the installation. If needed, Fire watch will be provided by City of Kenner.
