Specifications include, but are not limited to: DPSST seeks to enter into a contract with a physician licensed to practice in the State of Oregon for services indicated herein. The selected physician should have experience performing services for a similar agency or public safety organization. Medical Director shall serve as DPSSTs Supervising Physician, as defined in OAR 847-035-0001, for all DPSST licensed EMS faculty while performing duties on behalf of DPSST. Medical Director shall be responsible for the policies and procedures relating to emergency medical care at the DPSST facility including first aid administered by licensed and unlicensed faculty. Medical Director shall provide medical advisement to the DPSST Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Program, to include protocols, curriculum, and related education. Medical Director shall provide medical advisement to the medical curriculum in use within any training provided by DPSST, to include protocols, curriculum, and related education. Medical Director shall not be responsible for the occupational health, and routine non-emergency medical care of DPSST faculty or students.
