This is an approximately 175’ high octagonal brick chimney. The work will be 39 exterior masonry repairs consisting of tuckpointing 1,000ft of deteriorated masonry joints and replacing 40 approximately 100 brick units. This work will be done for the full height of the chimney. The existing concrete cap 41 will be replaced. The lightning protection system will be inspected and the faulty components replaced. The steel 42 bands and platform will be repainted and caulked. The full exterior will have a siloxane waterproofing applied. An 43 inspection will be performed of the interior and exterior, full height. There are existing vents in the chimney (2 ½” x 44 2”) that have a mesh screen covering them which will be replaced in this project.
