Specifications include, but are not limited to: The STATE seeks to provide facilitation of a parenthood preparation curriculum pilot project to a pool of grantee organization program participants who are ages sixteen to twenty-five (16-25) and have experience with the justice system (Justice Involved Youth and Young Adults - JIYYA). The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) through its Child Support Division (CSD or STATE) was awarded a multi-year federal innovation grant to develop and deliver a curriculum to justice involved youth and young adults, aged sixteen to twenty-five (16-25) years old (JIYYA). For this grant opportunity, JIYYA could include: Youth and young adults who are incarcerated in county correctional facilities. Youth and young adults who are residing in the community, are currently involved in the criminal justice system or have prior criminal justice involvement. Youth and young adults who have faced adverse circumstances and/or are at risk of becoming involved with the criminal justice system.
