Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Selected Responder will work in partnership with the MnDOT Project Manager to facilitate development and implementation of the training over the course of the contract. 2. This task includes the initial overall development of the training course including establishing an outline highlighting major themes. Training schedule, duration, and delivery method (in-person or virtual) will be finalized during this task. Below is a sample schedule that would allow staff to travel to and from the training location during work hours for a 100% in-person training. Day 1 – Afternoon – approximately 4 hours of instruction including an activity; a. Background, relationship to MnDOT plans & policies; b. How pedestrian and bicycle travel are different and how that impacts design decisions; c. Designing for pedestrians; Day 2 – All day – approximately 7 hours of instruction, including an activity and a field trip; a. Designing for pedestrians; b. How pedestrian needs and ADA needs are different and how that impacts designs; c. Designing for bicyclists; Day 3 – Morning – approximately 4 hours of instruction, including an activity and course evaluation; a. Designing for bicyclists; b. Addressing conflicting needs between walking, biking, and ADA
