Specifications include, but are not limited to: The location of the project is inside the Coordination Center Building of Parsons State Hospital (PSH), in the old library area. The kitchen area is to be updated and shall include painting walls, trim, and cabinets, new counter tops, new appliances, and new floor covering, as well as a window removed and a pass-through window opening created, and possibly new ceiling tiles. Bids shall include removal and replacement of all existing countertops, sink and appliances. If the appliances are still working, they will be transferred to the Butler Building (a storage facility on grounds at PSH) and replaced with new units. If the appliances are not operational, they shall be properly disposed of, and new units installed. Bids shall include demolition and construction/installation labor, as well as all new equipment, sink, appliances, flooring, ceiling tiles, and countertops. The cabinets, walls and trim shall be painted, PSH staff will supply color choice before the project begins. New countertops and backsplash shall be installed. New sink and faucets shall be installed. Selection of style and color, pending approval of PSH staff. New appliances shall include stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Please make recommendations after previewing the space and electrical capacity of the space and building. New flooring, (suggested laminate overlay, installed over top of existing tile), shall be installed. New ceiling tiles shall be installed. The current window shall be removed, and a pass-through space provided, with a shelf mounted on the outside of the existing wall. The support beams shall remain in the window area and be trimmed out, as they are support beams of the existing wall. Trim and shelf in the window area shall match the selected kitchen colors and materials.
