Specifications include, but are not limited to:S-57.1 DESCRIPTION This Work consists of constructing Concrete Curb Ramp Walk, including necessary Subgrade Preparation, and Grading in accordance with the Plan, Standard Plan Sheet No.5-297.250, MnDOT 2112, MnDOT 2211 and MnDOT 2521. S-57.2 MATERIALS – See Standard Specifications for Construction S-57.3 CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS A Concrete Walk Construct 4.0’ minimum continuous and unobstructed clear width of Pedestrian Access Route (PAR). Match or exceed proposed sidewalk widths and must be at least 5.0 feet in width except at locations where obstructions cannot be moved or at driveways where slopes exceed the maximum allowable grades. The cross slope of the sidewalk is not to exceed 2%, and to be measured across the entire surface width of the sidewalk. Construct curb ramps to meet or exceed existing sidewalk widths. Maintain a consistent flat smooth surface within the PAR. Where sidewalk grade changes adjacent to fixed structures, finish the sidewalk around these structures to the satisfaction of the Engineer. Sawcut concrete curb ramp, sidewalk, and driveway contraction joints. The Engineer may allow tooling relief joints for large driveway placements, long sidewalk placements to prevent random cracks, and minor repairs.
