Specifications include, but are not limited to: This work consists of mixing existing base and subgrade material with cement to achieve a designed compressive strength of 300 psi to create a structural roadway base for paving. The contractor is responsible for having design mix pre-formed prior to construction. The finished soil cement base shall be sealed with a bituminous prime complying with GDOT specifications section 412. Recycled Asphalt Concrete, Leveling, and Bituminous Tack: This work includes constructing one or more courses of bituminous plant mixture in accordance with GDOT specifications on the prepared foundation or existing roadway surface. The pavement courses shall conform to the lines, grades, thicknesses, and typical sections established by the County. The use of an Automatic Screed Control System as described in GDOT Special Provision Section 400 is required to construct the desired cross slope. Side roads and driveway tie-ins shall be constructed to the proper lengths and widths to establish a smooth ingress and egress during each state of the paving operation. All cleanup shall be completed within fifteen (15) days of the completion of work. Asphalt Concrete Leveling shall be placed in sufficient quantities as directed by the County and as per GDOT Specifications to remove irregularities in the existing pavement surface and improve areas of sub-standard cross slope to provide a leveled cross-slope in normal crown sections between 1% (1/8 inch per foot) and 2% (1/4 inch per foot) and to match existing cross slope in super elevation section.
