Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The concessionaire will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, supplies, and staff to successfully operate the concession during the term of the contract. • The concessionaire shall comply with all of the City’s Health Department requirements for operating a concession and shall obtain and pay for all of the necessary licenses. This includes meeting all of the State and local food service regulations and passing subsequent inspections. • The concessionaire will not be permitted to offer or sell alcoholic beverages at thistime. • The concessionaire will bag all trash and arrange that the trash be picked up by the City and discarded properly and efficiently. A waste management plan shall be prepared and approved by the City. This may include daily automated litter container receptacle pickups during the season. • The concessionaire is not permitted to cook outside of the concession building. Mobile Vending is NOT included in this license agreement. • The concessionaire will replace the filters to the kitchen exhaust system on an asneeded basis but is expected to replace them at least once a year. • The concessionaire will not be permitted to install any vending machines at The Grove, or anywhere else on the premises. • The concessionaire will be prohibited from cutting down, pruning, or removing any trees on the licensed premises without prior written approval from the Department of Parks and Recreation Tree Warden. Any attachments to the trees, such as lights, will not be permitted. • The concessionaire will be required to cooperate with the Department of Parks and Recreation during special events, such as the Puerto Rican Heritage Parade, and other assorted large-scale events. • The use of polystyrene packaging or food containers will be prohibited in theoperation of the concession. • The selling and/or advertisement of cigarettes, cigars, and any other tobacco products, as well as chewing gum, is strictly prohibited. The concessionaire will be required to adhere to and enforce this policy. • The concessionaire must obtain the prior written approval of the Department of Parks and Recreation prior to entering into any marketing or sponsorship agreement. In the event that the concessionaire breaches this provision, the concessionaire will be subject to any action that the City may deem necessary to protect the City’s interests.
