Specifications include, but are not limited to: The rental rate is to be paid by the Transportation Cabinet only during the time that the above named equipment is in actual use on the project. No payment will be made for non production hours. The minimum order per delivery order will be eight (8) hours. The mobilization line item will be paid only once per delivery order, regardless of how many times the equipment has to be moved between projects. The equipment will be delivered to the place of beginning of operation and set up with no expense to the Department, and upon completion of work, the equipment will be transported away from the place of operations with no expense to the Department, other than the one-time mobilization charge on the delivery order. Equipment must be horizontal shaft impactor style crusher. The equipment shall be capable of crushing asphalt millings at a minimum rate of 175 tons per hour production. Equipment shall also meet crushing 70 tons per hour number 8 stone gradation (40 percent of the overall production tonnage) with the remaining being fines (60 percent of the overall production). Must be capable of all aspects of crushing operation from loosening existing clean millings from pile, running it through the crusher, and crushing/extracting 100% of millings to #8 material into separate stockpile with stacker. Vendor must be able to discharge at least 20 feet high into a stockpile. Vendor must stockpile material without driving on stockpile. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet #8 size aggregate per Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction 805.15 Gradation – Size No. 8, with less than 4% passing the No. 200 screen. Every possible effort should be made to minimize the clumps of the fines and asphalt retained in the finished product. The equipment and the operator(s) will be under the supervision and subject to the orders of the Department, who shall direct the time and place for the use of such equipment. Multiple locations within the highway district may be combined on one delivery order.
