Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this Invitation to bid is to obtain field services to affect the repair, restoration and/or replacement of traffic control signs and their support and mounting hardware affected by Hurricane Ida in the area outlined in these provisions. The signs to be restored under this proposal are those on the non-Federal Aid routes within the City of New Orleans in Zone 3. Zone 3 is bounded by the 17th Street Canal/Jefferson Parish Line, Metairie Rd., I-10, I-610, Elysian Fields Ave., Florida Ave., Alvar St./France Rd./Industrial Canal, and Lake Pontchartrain. The work shall consist of the furnishing and installation of the sign types and mounting hardware as specified in the Project Manual to repair and restore to pre-storm conditions as needed and directed by a representative of the Department of Public Works. The vendor shall visit the sites specified in the Sign Assessments and repair, restore or replace the signs and/or the mounting supports as needed. Signs which are bent, stained or otherwise damaged beyond a reasonable degree of functionality by storm-related causes shall be replaced in-kind with new units. Any round sign post or U-channel which has been bent or otherwise damaged in any degree shall be replaced in-kind. Any round sign post or U-channel which is out of plumb but not damaged in any other manner shall be removed and reset as near as possible to its original location. When it is discovered that a sign listed in the Sign Assessments has already been addressed by City forces, no work shall be performed and that sign shall be eliminated from the contract.
