Specifications include, but are not limited to: Gas Chromatograph (GC) Specifications: o GC must have a retention time repeatability of <0.008% or <0.0008 minutes. o GC must have ambient temperature and pressure compensation for all pneumatics for all inlets, detectors and auxiliary pneumatics. o All GC pneumatics for inlets, detectors and auxiliary modules must have a pneumatics design based on microchannels that serves as a restrictor for pneumatic control instead of using a frit. o GC must be capable of supporting simultaneous installation and operation with a single quadrupole mass selective detector (MSD) and 3 GC detectors, without impact on GC or detector performance or need for auxiliary oven or 2nd GC. o GC must be able to support simultaneous installation and operation of up to 4 GC (non-MS) detectors, without impact on GC or detector performance or need for auxiliary oven or 2nd GC. o GC must have a touchscreen user interface that utilizes capacitive touchscreen technology with glass interface/overlay and not require a stylus for touchscreen functions. o Touchscreen must be fully calibrated at installation and not require subsequent recalibrations after installation. o Touchscreen interface must have a minimum resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and be at least 7 diagonal inches in size. o GC must include a browser interface capable of: Ability to connect and check status or run diagnostics from anywhere within user network. Built-in self-guided diagnostics and maintenance capabilities. Method and sequence editing without the requirement for a data system. Access to logs and user documentation. o GC must be accessible remotely, independent of any software being used. o GC must be able to perform no less than the following 5 inlet diagnostic procedures without a need to cap-off septum purge or split vent lines: Leak and Restriction Test Pressure Decay Test Split Vent Restriction Test Gas Supply Pressure Check Septum Purge Flow Test Headspace Sampler (HS) Specifications o HS must have a single position, solid aluminum vial oven. o HS must have a minimum of 111 vial capacity in removable, exchangeable vial racks suitable for in-rack vial capping. o HS must have a multi-position air-bath vial oven design. o HS must allow for sample overlapping for constant heating. o HS vial shaker must have frequency and acceleration adjustable parameters. o HS must have an integrated bar code reader required for automated chain of custody. o HS must have a vial chiller plate with temperature sensor (5 °C to ambient range). o HS must have a robust valve and loop headspace sampling system with standard full electronic pneumatics allowing for independent vial pressurization and GC column head pressures. o HS must allow for unrestricted GC column selection from 50 to 530 μm regardless of sampling conditions. o HS must have chemically inert sample flow path. o HS must have fully automated purging of sample and vent paths between each analysis. o HS must have adaptor-free compatibility with headspace vials of 10 mL, 20 mL, and 22 mL sizes that meet the following specifications: Screw or crimp top closure. Flat or rounded bottom style. Dimensions: 10 mL size (47.0 mm minimum height with closure) 20 mL and 22 mL sizes (79.0 mm maximum height with closure) All sizes (22.40 to 23.10 mm width)
