The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is seeking applications to award a contract for the Peer Leadership Technical Assistance Program. The purpose of this Grant Funding Opportunity (GFO) is to provide interested parties with the information needed to prepare and submit an application for the development and operation of the Peer Leadership Technical Assistance Program (PLTAP). The goals of the Peer Leadership Technical Assistance Program are: • To enhance and increase peer support provided by the statewide peer recovery centers (PRCs) by building on existing strategies, identifying new partnerships, and developing new strategies for locally relevant and sustainable peer support and peer leadership through the provision of technical assistance. • To increase peer support impact on local communities by expanding collaboration between PRCs and the behavioral health system and community partners and resources to have a positive impact on recovery for consumers by providing opportunities for peers to engage with each other in a peer community and within the community at large. • To develop a pathway for peers to participate and lead system transformation efforts that will create a trauma-informed, person-centered, recovery-oriented behavioral health system that also increases community inclusion.
