Specifications include, but are not limited to: Clean all types of drains, pipes, culverts, and drainage structures. These include median barrier wall box inlets, drop box inlets, catch basins, bridge end drainage box inlets, curb box inlets, dry wells, culvert pipe, storm sewer pipe, entrance pipe, and any other drainage structure types that have removable grates. Remove (and replace) the grate for access and vacuum the throat and chamber area to remove all sediment, drift, and other debris. (During this operation, the inspector should note whether the drain is properly functioning or not. If it is not functioning properly, the inspector should note the location and forward the information to the Chief District Engineer or his representative to perform additional pipe cleaning or other work). Mobilization and demobilization costs will be considered only once per delivery order. Each delivery order will be written for work only in 1 county in District 3. District 3 has 10 counties (Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, Todd, Warren). Each county will have a separate delivery order. All travel costs to a from the job site and disposal of debris beyond the ROW within each county will be considered incidental to mobilization. Maintain traffic and conform all traffic control devices and all materials according to these notes and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the Standard Drawings or Sepia Drawings, Current Editions, and by the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Current Edition. Furnish a Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) in accordance with Section 112. Place this unit approximately 200 feet behind the operation so that it is the first piece of equipment encountered by the traveling public. Move the TMA forward as the operation moves forward. Furnish a Flashing Arrow in accordance with Section 112 and Standard Drawing Number TSC-270-02. The department will pay for traffic control by the hour.
