Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Utah Procurement Code provides that a procurement may be made without competition when there is only one source for the required supply or service. Therefore, a “sole source” procurement is justified if there is only one product or service that can reasonably meet the college’s need and there is only one vendor who can provide the product or service. Snow College Procurement Services has received a request to make the following sole source procurement: Requesting Department: Biology Department Product and/or service purchased: Maintenance Services for 2 - 20" Beta Star Autoclaves w/Boilers Proposed Sole Source Supplier: Johnson Medical Proposed Contract length: 3 years Sole Source Justification and Scope of Work: For maintenance services on 2 - 20" Beta Star Autoclaves w/boilers and willing to travel to Ephraim Utah to service them. Must be a certified service center for them. Must included at 2 service calls and besides the preventative maintenance inspections because of equipment failure cause by component failure not expendable items. Must provide ongoing in-service education to the college staff upon request. Must be available for emergency calls on weekends and after normal hours ( 8-5 - MDT/MST)
