Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Liquid ferric chloride shall be supplied at 40% solution +/- 2% as determined by lab analysis to meet AWWA B-407 latest revision. B. The ferric chloride solution shall be pre-filtered through a NSF approved 25 micron or greater bag filter, prior to transferring the ferric chloride solution from the manufacturing process to the shipping container. 1. The ferric chloride solution shall be clean and free from all dirt, wood, and precipitant matter which could cause pumping failure; shall meet the requirements of AWWA B407 latest revision; and shall be furnished as specified. 2. Inorganic impurities shall be determined by procedures described in the "heavy metals" section of the latest edition of Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater or in the Manual of Methods for Chemical Analysis of Water and Wastes, latest revision, published by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. C. The Contractor will provide product related educational material to the City representative upon request, to ensure that the City is current on market availability and state-of-the-art products.
