Specifications include, but are not limited to: A Rockport State Park employee will notify the Contractor of the required service. The initial notification may be by phone, email, or other means. Within one business day of the initial notification, the Contractor shall confirm the requirement by phone, email, written work order, or otherwise. The Contractor shall complete the required service within one week (not including Saturday or Sunday) after the initial notification, or as otherwise agreed upon with park staff. Generally, service shall be conducted between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Occasional emergency pumping and/or service may be required outside of those hours. Response time for any emergency must be within 24 hours of notification. Contractor shall be available on an as-needed basis since the number of days and exact dates on which services will be required is difficult to determine very far in advance. Pumping and waste removal services may include handling debris in addition to regular sewage. Contractor must be able to remove debris from all vaults and septic tanks. Debris includes all other refuse found in vault toilets, including items such as cans, bottles, rocks, sticks, clothing, plastic bags and containers, metal products, cardboard and paper products, whole rolls of toilet paper, toilet paper dispensers, tools, diapers, sanitary napkins, miscellaneous trash, etc. All debris removed from the vault shall be placed into a leak-proof container so that no contamination to the surrounding ground will result. The State will take reasonable precautions to prevent debris from being thrown into the vault, including but not limited to, placing instructional signs around the vault area. All contaminated areas resulting from the pumping process shall be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Any waste spilled onto the interior floor and wall surfaces while removing debris and while pumping shall be thoroughly disinfected. All equipment and disinfecting solutions shall be in full accordance with any local, state, or federal regulations and standards. The toilet paper dispenser and toilet riser shall be protected from damage and the toilet paper shall be covered with a waterproof material prior to removing debris or pumping to prevent the paper from getting contaminated. If the paper gets contaminated, the Contractor must notify Park personnel.
