Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Minnesota Facilities Management (FM) is soliciting proposals from qualified Responders to provide Floor Finishing Services for the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campuses (Minneapolis/St. Paul). The goal of the Floor Finish Services Program is to have contracted vendors and products that can be used on floors for semi-permanent finishes and coatings that will reduce our annual floor care product and labor costs with the least amount of disruptions to our occupants. The University of Minnesota is looking for floor finishing companies with the ability to provide the service of prepping a floor and applying a semi-permanent coating. This may include grout colorant with sealing of just the grout or the entire floor with clear finish. It may also include solid color, speckled, flaked, swirled or some other method of covering an existing substrate with a desirable finished look. This contract will not include application of acrylic floor finish or honing and polishing of floors.
