Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Proper landscape maintenance sustains the quality and health of a landscaped area and preserves the intended design concept. Landscaping is intended to provide overall aesthetically pleasing appearance for the community. • Plants are chosen for their natural shape and growth habit. All cultural practices should encourage and enhance the natural form of the plant material. Trimming and pruning should not alter this form appreciably. • Marine Park trash is disposed at Marine Park dumpster. • All noxious weeds and invasive species shall be kept separated from general vegetation debris and be disposed of in dumpsters as noted above. Contractor shall notify the Whatcom County Noxious Weed Control Board at (360) 715-7470 when they are discovered. • Irrigation systems shall be inspected routinely, and City notified immediately if components are not operating properly. Repairs to sprinkler equipment damaged by the contractor shall be completed in a timely manner at no cost to the city. • Report windfall trees, broken facilities, and items in disrepair, hazards or vandalism to City immediately so that removal, repair or replacement can be completed by others in a timely manner. • Plant material which dies through the fault or neglect of the contractor or due to preventable circumstances, shall be replaced by the contractor with a specimen of the same species to the extent possible and of equal or similar size as the plant(s) lost at no cost to the city.
