Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall specialize in the form(s) of violence and sector(s) indicated on their Pass/Fail Packet (attached) and perform “advocacy” services. “Advocacy” is defined as an entry level support service focused on providing emotional support, victim rights information, community resources connection, assistance in filling out common survivor support forms and applications, and accompaniment to events related to survivorship (i.e. court hearings) as emotional support. The contractor cannot perform case management services and shall perform the following activities: a) Provide and track delivery of survivor support services that are best practice, appropriate to the provider’s credentials, linguistically appropriate, and available on an on-call 24/7 basis. b) Work collaboratively with Santa Fe Police Department, Santa Fe Fire Department, court systems, health systems, and human and social service provider organizations to help meet victims/survivors’ needs and to help professional partners practice a trauma-informed approach. This includes the facilitation of “warm handoffs” of victims from first responders and healthcare professionals to advocates. c) Triage referrals from community partners to conduct and assist in the conduction of relevant safety assessments and create safety and action plans.
