Specifications include, but are not limited to: This RFP is to obtain qualified General Contractors for various construction projects, as needed. Projects included in this RFP are defined as small projects (construction value under $250,000) and large projects (construction value between $250,000 and $1,000,000). * Small project may be negotiated with one contractor from the pool of contractors awarded from this solicitation. MNPS will make an attempt to spread around work but reserves the right to engage contractors with high performance scores on a more frequent basis. * Large projects will be offered to all contractors awarded from this solicitation and the work awarded to the lowest qualified bidder. MNPS reserves the right to forego the bid process on work between $250,000 and $500,000 and negotiate the award of the work to one contractor if, as approved by the Director of Facility Planning and Construction and the Director of Procurement, the work is deemed to be repetitive in nature, urgent, or for another viable reason to make a contractor selection without bidding. Contractors who do not reply, or do not provide reasonable responses, to requests for bid(s) may have their contract terminated if they fail to respond to 2 requests for bid or more. A "no bid" response shall be considered a response.
