FIRE HYDRANT 1. Hydrants shall be dry barrel type with O-ring seals, 6" MJ inlet, 5'1/4" valve opening, 2 2-1/2" nozzles, 1 4-1/2" nozzle, breakaway flange, 5-1/2' bury (unless indicated otherwise). The MJ inlet shall be supplied with one (1) set of Type I - Mechanical Joint Retainer Glands. 2. Hydrant and all interior/exterior coatings shall be in full compliance with (i.e. meet or exceed) all requirements of the latest revisions of AWWA C502. 3. WATEROUS HYDRANTS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH A 16" TRAFFIC SECTION INSTEAD OF THE STANDARD 10" SECTION. 4. Hydrants shall be only those models and manufacturers listed below.
