Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Minnesota Zoo is seeking a Contractor to remove and replace the existing acrylic panels that surround the pools and holding area in the Zoo’s Discovery Bay building. The replacement panels will be taller than the existing panels, and “Dutch” style doors will be installed in some areas. Engineer drawings with project specifications are provided in Exhibit C of the Sample Contract attached to this Request for Bid (RFB). There are four pools in the project area - an east and west pool, a medic pool, and a presentation pool. Currently, there is one Hawaiian monk seal in the holding area. The Contractor is responsible to coordinate with Zoo staff prior to construction to ensure the safety and well-being of the animal and to minimize all disruptions. Disruptions include but are not limited to noise, vibration, odor, and visual impacts.
